Madhumitha who first appeared in a small role in Pa. Ranjith's 'Atta Kaththi' got her big break playing Jangiri in the M. Rajesh romantic comedy 'Oru Kal Oru Kannadi' starring Udhayanidhi Stalin, Santhanam and Hansika Motwani. She came to be known as Jangiri Madhumitha and featured in comedic roles in many films and serials after that.

Madhumitha participated In 'Bigg Boss 3' and was one of the favorites to win the title but unfortunately, she was terminated midway from the show. The actress was allegedly pushed into depression due to groupism bu the other contestants and she tried to take her own life by slashing her wrists.

Madhumitha has since recovered from the traumatic experience and got married to her cousin Moses and is leading a happy life. During the lockdown the actress shared that she learnt car driving and bike riding.

Now in her latest video Madhumitha has surprised her followers by showing adept skills in the ancient Tamil marital art silambattam and is seen rotating the stick in many directions like a pro.

Madhu has stated that she learnt the skill due to her love for the Tamil culture and is keen to lean more in the future. The current lineup of films that Madhumitha is acting in includes Santhanam's 'Dikkiloona', Vikram Prabhu's 'Asuraguru', Kalairasan's 'Titanic', Vijay Antony's 'Thamizarasan' and GVP's 'Aayiram Jenmangal'.
