Kavin has been in the television circuit for several years but his time in the limelight came only after his contesting in the 'Bigg Boss 3' show hosted by Kamal Haasan. The onscreen romance of Kavin and Losliya was one of the highpoints of the show that set the TRP on fire. The duo has since parted ways and are pursuing their own careers in Kollywood.

The first look of Kavin's new movie 'Lift' has been announced released with the title announcement as well. The romantic thriller has Kavin and 'Bigil' fame Amritha Ayer as the lead pair. Vineeth Varaprasad makes his debut as director while Hepzi is bankrolling with Britto Michael scoring the music and S. Yuva is handling the camera. The project is in postproduction and the release date will be announced soon.
