Bigg Boss House sealed by Tamil Nadu Police; Show cancelled

Owing to the second wave of Covid 19, every business came to a standstill across the nation. While the shoot of movies and TV shows came to a halt long before, one show that did continue to broadcast on TV was Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 3. The shoot of Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 3 hosted by Mohanlal has been going well so far.

The show had recently completed 94 days following all safety protocols. A day ago, we had reported that six crew members from the team had tested positive for Coronavirus. Though the crew members were not in contact with any contestants but had been working in the unit outside the Bigg Boss Malayalam 3 set in EVP Film City, Chennai. Now it looks like, the COVID 19 has not spared the much secure 'Bigg Boss' house too and has infected the housemates too.

Our sources close to the Bigg Boss team said that they continued to shoot despite 6 crew members being tested positive. Now, the show has been stopped indefinitely. Last day evening, the Tamil Nadu police have sealed the set for continuing the shoot despite the ban on film and television shoots during the pandemic. The Bigg Boss team has shifted all the contestants to a hotel. A case has also been booked under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Disaster Management Act for violation of government guidelines. Meanwhile, the COVID positive crew members are doing fine and the other crew members are being quarantined and their health status is being monitored. For more details check out the video below.

It may be noted that the second season of Bigg Boss Malayalam was terminated due to the pandemic. Meanwhile, the ongoing show which started on February 14, recently got an extension of two weeks due to the pandemic situation and lockdown in Chennai.
