Actress Harathi has starred in a number of movies as a child artistes and as an adult, she has specialized in comedic roles in several hits. Her most memorable films are 'Padikadhavan' and 'Kutty' with Dhanush and 'Giri' with Vadivleu. She later became a reality star after participating in 'Bigg Boss' season 2.

In 2009 Harathi married fellow film and television star Ganeshkar after the couple worked together as a dance pair in 'Maanada Mayilada'. Ganeshkar is also a child artiste who has acted as the younger versions of most of the big stars of Tamil cinema including Rajini and Kamal.
