Makkal Needhi Maiam leader Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan's comment in the Aravakurichi campaign that the first terrorist of independent India was a Hindu, Nadhuram Godse who killed Mahathma Gandhi, has met with extreme criticism and attack from all corners.
The latest to join the list of celebrities who have opposed Kamal's remark happens to be dance choreographer, actor and contestant of Bigg Boss season 1, Gayathri Raghuram. The actress, who had been a staunch supporter of BJP, had distanced herself from politics recently, and has now condemned Kamal's words.
She took it to Twitter and tweeted "I have too many backstabbers can I call them all terrorists. That includes u too Kamal Haasan and India has been backstabbed by congress for many years, can we call congress a terrorist? We have had only acting corrupted political system so far from congress and u want to join?". She added that she respects him as her uncle and actor, but not such statements, and told him not to be another politician, and the actress also made request to the Chief minister of TN to take action on Kamal for spreading religious hatred.

I respect u @ikamalhaasan as my uncle and film actor and maker. But I don’t respect such statements. Be the change. Don’t be just another politician.
