Meera Mithun is a Tamil model and small-time actress who gained some attention in the media space after participating in Big Boss Tamil 3. Chennai Cyber Crime Police arrested her in Kerela for her derogatory casteist remarks against the people in the cine industry in August 2021.

Meera Mithun was booked under 7 sections including the SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act. She was granted bail later in September 2021. Now, the controversial celebrity has been arrested once again by the Chennai Cyber Crime Police in connection with the non-bailable warrant issued by the Egmore court. The cops have arrested Meera Mithun following a warrant issued for not appearing in a defamation case.

Meera Mithun has been arrested in a case of slander on a social networking site. She got herself in trouble after stating in a video, “The members of the SC community face trouble mostly because they are indulged in illegal activities and crime. No one will unnecessarily speak ill of someone without a reason. I think it’s time to chuck out all the scheduled caste people, directors from the industry."
