Ramesh Kumar, the ex-husband of actress, dubbing artist and host Bhagyalakshmi, passed away due to kidney-related ailments. Bhagyalakshmi, who is currently participating in the Malayalam Bigg Boss show, was conveyed the news through the show on Tuesday. During the episode, Bhagyalakshmi was spotted number for a moment and then seen in tears narrating the health conditions of Ramesh.

When Bigg Boss asked her if she wants to go back home, Bhagyalakshmi replied that they have been legally separated for a long time hence she is not sure how people will take her presence there.  Instead, she requested the show team to let her talk to her sons regarding the last rites, as she felt that they were needed more than her. 

The housemates of the show were also left shocked on hearing the news and they tried to console her. 

Ramesh Kumar was a cinematographer and filmmaker. The couple got married in 1985 and later legally divorced in 2014. The couple has two sons, Sachin and Nithin.
