‘Bigg Boss’ actress transforms into Silk Smitha

Legendary actress Silk Smitha who captivated the South Indian movie fans with her item dances in the eighties and nineties is still quite popular even after 25 years since her untimely death at the age of 35.

Silk appeared in close to 450 films in the 17 years she was active before taking her own life due to depression caused by loneliness.  The dusky beauty acted in almost all the superstars films of the era including Sivaji Ganesan, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Jai Shankar, Vijayakanth, Prabhu, Karthik and Sathyaraj.

Actress Kaajal Pasupathi who became famous after her stint on the inaugural season of ‘Bigg Boss’ hosted by Kamal Haasan has paid tribute to Silk Smitha.  She has posted photos by posing exactly like the late actress and wrote “A small tribute to Ma Thalaivi”
