Abhirami Venkatachalam started her career as a model and eventually won the Miss Tamil Nadu title in 2016. Though she made her acting debut in 'NOTA' and also appeared in 'Kalavu' her breakthrough role was in Thala Ajith's 'Nerkonda Paarvai' directed by H. Vinod and produced by Boney Kapoor.

Abhirami participated as a contestant in 'Bigg Boss 3' hosted by Kamal Haasan and played the game well till her eviction on the 56th day. She has since been active on social media apart from acting in web series including the daily streaming 'Vallamai Tharayo'.

Abhirami has now launched her own brand by starting a boutique in which she promises buyers not only stylish wear but also presentable ones with the best fabrics. She has spoken to the Abhi Army on a video and captioned it "My first baby step as a brand " never ever thought in my life that I would have a clothing brand in my name ..... chellakutty fam pls do support .... lots of love and nandri"

Abhirami's next appearance on the big screen is Chiyaan Vikram's 'Dhruva Natchathiram' followed by 'Nerunji' and 'Gajen'.
