Kamal Haasan's most recent film was 'Vishwaroopam 2', which was released in 2018. A gap of more than four years has never happened in the forty years of his career as a hero in Tamil cinema. His political entry and his fight in the 2021 elections was the sole reason but now all indications are that he is shifting full focus on his film career now.

Kamal already is committed to 'Indian 2' and 'Vikram' and 'Papanasam 2' and will be shooting for the latter two in a few week's time. Meanwhile, reports say that the 'Bigg Boss 5' reality show will start airing in September this year and Kamal has been retained as the host.

Reports are emerging that the 'Bigg Boss' team has not only signed a deal with Kamal Haasan for 'Bigg Boss 5' but also for 'Bigg Boss 6'. Since viewers enjoy the way the legend handles the show and the contestant's sources add that like Salman Khan in Bollywood the Ulaganayagan is poised to host many more seasons in the future as well.
