The 'Bigg Boss' reality show's Tamil version has already completed four seasons and has been a big hit among television viewers. All the seasons so far have been hosted by Kamal Haasan.

The four past seasons of 'Bigg Boss Tamil' have begun in June and the finale held sometime in September. However 'Bigg Boss 4' got delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic and was postponed for three months and started on October 4th 2020. The grand finale was held on January 17th with Aari winning the title and Balaji Murugadoss the runner-up.

Now 'Bigg Boss 5' is planned to be held in June and already the initial preparations for the show have started according to sources. Since there are extensive formalities and legalities involved to sign the celebrities who are likely to stay more than 100 days on the sets negotiations have already said to have started with a few.

It is said that in the initial round talks have been held with celebrities associated with Vijay TV such as 'Cooku with Comali' contestants Darsha Gupta, Pavithra Lakshmi, Shivani and Ashwin. Actor Azeem who was supposed to enter on a wild card entry in 'Bigg Boss 4' but opted out due to a personal issue is also said to be under consideration.

For the glamour quotient actresses Raai Lakshmi, Poonam Bhajwa, Sri Reddy and Kiran are in the list while in the senior category actress Raai Lakshmi and Radha Ravi have reportedly been approached. Actress Hema of 'Pandian Stores' fame is also likely to be a part of the show this season.

Among the big screen stars veteran actress Radha and Siddharth are said to be in the preferred list. Depending on the election results Kamal could return to host 'Bigg Boss 5' or he may be replaced by some other celebrity as well. A word of caution is that this is not the final list and just the initial one and there could be many changes to it according to our sources close to the team.
