Amir a relatively unknown celebrity has now become an household name thanks to his wildcard entry on 'Bigg Boss 5' Tamil hosted by Kamal Haasan. The dancer from Ooty's tragic past life is one that will make even the toughest heart melt.

According to sources Amir lost his father when he was just one year old and was brought up by his mother. However when he was a teenager and studying tenth standard he lost his mother too who was brutally murdered.

The grief stricken Amir had to be involved in the police case at that innocent age and he used to rest in the burial ground where his parents were laid to rest. He then lived in a small hut with no amenities and later joined an orphanage.

Since he was an ardent fan of Prabhudeva he focused on dance and eventually started a dance school in his hometown. He has competed in various dance competitions, including the Kings of Dance and the International Hip Hop Championships in the United States, and has won medals and prizes.

An interesting bit of trivia is that Amir had an insatiable desire to join the army and he has a tattoo of the national flag on his hand. Amir recently posted a wedding picture of his parents on his mom's birthday and wrote in Tamil "I have chased hard and have achieved the dream that you had for me. But without you I dont know what I am going to do as you are an irreplaceable loss".
