Aari Arjunan made his debut in Tamil cinema in 'Rettai Suzhi' produced by Shankar and starring K. Balachander, Bharathiraja and Anjali. However his third film 'Nedunchaalai' directed by Obeli N Krishna was the one in which he was noticed for his powerful performance as a highway robber.

Aari participated as a contestant in 'Bigg Boss 4' hosted by Kamal Haasan in which he played the game in a straightforward manner that in a few weeks time he came to be seen as the possible title winner. The actor who is also a social activist did not disappoint his army and emerged as the title winner of the season.

Aari is currently acting in a few films and is also listening to other scripts. He has now updated that a new shooting schedule of one of his new movies 'Bhagavan' is underway at the Gingee Fort near Thiruvannamalai.

A few weeks earlier the teaser of 'Bhagavan' was released and impressed viewers also revealing that Aari is playing a character named Joseph Vijay which should go well with the Thalapathy fans. The film is written and directed by Kalingan with music by Prasan Bala, cinematography by Murugan Saravanan and editing by Athul Vijay.
