In a recently held task in the ongoing Bigg Boss 4 hosted by Kamal Haasan, there was a moment when contestant Suresh Chakravarthy mentioned sumangali and called fellow contestant Anitha Sampath, and she had later given a message.

Anitha Sampath when she got her turn to speak, said that irrespective of women being married or widowed must be allowed to take part in functions and that the society must break these socially evil practices. While this lead to a conflict between Suresh and Anitha, it was praised by Kamal Haasan.

Now director Naveen of Moodar koodam has tweeted praising Anitha, saying that women like Anitha who speak progressive thoughts, rationalism and equality are the identity of Tamil Nadu. Director Pa Ranjith has liked this tweet of Naveen, indicating his appreciation for Anitha Sampath as well.
