Chennai based model and actress Meera Mitun has been known for acting in the crime thriller 8 Thottakkal and the Suriya starrer Thaanaa Serndha Koottam, and the actress was awarded Miss South India in 2016. The actress has recently entered the Bigg Boss house in its third season as surprise contestant.

Prior to her Bigg Boss entry, Meera had filed police complaints against Ajith Siva, Michael Joe, Praveen and model Malarkodi for threatening her, and had said that she was planning to organise a Miss Tamilnadu event and that these 4 had hacked her mobile and were spreading false information about her.

However Joe Michael had said that she had cheated models with her selfies with celebs, and said she had approached him for conducting her fashion show and initially had agreed to pay his agency fees but later said reasons to avoid paying it, and also said she had trapped a model. Going by his statements and Abhirami and Sakshi's cold response and restricted/ unhappy interaction with Meera also indicated that they both had bitter past experience with her, and unlike other contestants, she was not welcomed by Kamal Haasan. With one of the Hindi Bigg Boss seasons said to have featured an episode where a contestant was arrested in the house, and Michael Jo telling that he will get Meera arrested, it is to be seen what is going to happen in Meera's case.
