A little over three months ago no one would have heard of Losliya and her name itself is not common in Tamil Nadu. After her stint on 'Bigg Boss 3' hosted by Kamal Haasan the young girl from Sri Lanka has become a household name among Tamil speakers across the globe. Losliya and her romance with Kavin became a talking point on the show and caused a lot of controversies when her dad appeared on-air and explicitly expressed his disapproval of her affair. But in spite of all that Losliya exhibited staying power and managed to come third after the title winner Mugen Rao and runner up Sandy.

Losliya participated in the 'Bigg Boss 3' success party and danced away merrily with Kavin and the other contestants and has now returned to her home in Sri Lanka. At the airport in her country speaking to newspersons Losliya stated that when she left for Chennai no one is Lanka knew who she was but 'Bigg Boss' has catapulted an ordinary girl like herself into celebrity status and the entire country is giving her a warm welcome. She once again extended her thanks to 'Bigg Boss' producers and the millions of Tamil fans who have showered love on her. Losliya also affirmed that she has to now conduct herself with more responsibility and has a lot to do for society.
