Music director Rahul Raj, who is all excited about his upcoming Mohanlal starrer project 'Aarattu', recently took to his Instagram handle to share an update on the movie. Sharing a picture, Rahul Raj revealed that the post-production works of the movie were in full swing. Rahu Raj wrote:” Final mix in progress” with a loving heart emoji. Rahul Raj had earlier composed for Mohanlal's superhit movie 'Chotta Mumbai' directed by Anwar Rasheed and also for the most anticipated upcoming Mohanlal-Priyadarshan combo film ‘Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham’.

'Aaraattu’ aka ‘Neyyattinkara Gopante Aaraattu’ is one of the most anticipated upcoming films of Mohanlal. Directed by B Unnikrishnan, the film was supposed to release in theatres for the Onam season of 2021. But owing to the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic, the release date was pushed to October 14, 2021, as a pooja release. Now, the latest is that the makers of the movie have finalized a new release date. As the theatres in Kerala have resumed functioning after a long gap, several movies are piled up for release. Due to this, the makers of Aaraattu decided to release the movie next year on February 10.

The Mohanlal starrer is reportedly being made as one of the most expensive projects in the superstar's career. Kollywood diva Shraddha Srinath is appearing as the female lead in the movie that has KGF villain Garuda Ram, playing the lead antagonist. Penned by Udayakrishna, the film also features actors Sangeeth Sivan, Nedumudi Venu, Sai Kumar, Siddique, Vijayaraghavan, Indrans, Johny Antony, Sheela, Rachana Narayanankutty, and Swasika in important roles. Music maestro AR Rahman is making a cameo performance in a special music video for the film.
