Any update on Mammootty's much-awaited sequel 'Bilal' is sure to excite fans. The movie was supposed to go on floors in March this year when the lockdown was announced.While fans have been waiting for an official update on the movie, director Bilal has now revealed the current status of the flick.
“We were supposed to begin the film by March-end, but that’s when the lockdown happened. The whole world right now is in a wait-and-watch mode and I am doing the same. Bilal is not a project that I can start off immediately," said Amal in an interview with TOI.
Recently, actor Manoj K Jayan who plays an important role in the movie also revealed that Bilal and boys will be back full strength. “We were set to start the shoot of Bilal on March 26. That’s when the corona issue flared and lockdown happened. Big fans must have been disappointed. However, Bilal and boys will be back full strength; that’s for sure,” posted Manoj K Jayan, who will be seen reprising the role of Eddy from ‘Big B’.
Mammootty's role of Bilal John Kurishinkal in the 2007 Malayalam film Big B, is considered one of the cult classics of Malayalam cinema by fans. The movie ran over 100 days in Kerala and was successful at the box office. In the sequel titled Bilal, the actor will be back in the title role.
