Erecting huge sets to shoot movies is a routine happening in Tamil and Telugu films. The trend is slowly catching up in Malayalam films too.

A big jail has been set up at the premises of Kochi Ambalamugal for director Shafi's Mayavi.

The movie features Mammootty in the title role. The set was put up in 25 days by art director Boban.

Almost hundred cells and bath tanks have been included. A major portion of the movie including a few stunt and song sequences are to be shot in the huge set.

Shafi says, "The set is so realistic. The art-director's works deserves to be commended".
