The Indian Air Forces reportedly launched an attack across the Line Of Control at 3:30 am today.  A group of Mirage 2000 Indian Fighter jets struck a major terrorist camp by dropping 1000 Kg bombs were dropped on terror camps.

"12 Mirage 2000 jets took part in the operation that dropped 1000 Kg bombs on terror camps across LOC, completely destroying it," a news agency quoted the army as saying.  

Although LoC is being mentioned, Balakot, where the attack took place, is actually in Pakistan.  Terror launch pads in Chakothi and Muzaffarabad, together with Jaish-e-Mohammad control rooms have been destroyed as per the IAF.

Although it has been described as a surgical strike, it's not.  It's called hot pursuit.  India has attacked Pakistan.  "Balakot is in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, just 60 km or so from Abbottabad where Pakistan military nestles, where Osama bin Laden was killed. Indian Mirage 2000s have struck deep in the heart of Pakistan. This is a full-blown attack," writes Abhijit Majumder.
