In other unexpected movie, two big films from the Big M's of Malayalam will go for a Box Office clash, this weekend. The movies in discussion are Mammootty's ‘Pokkiri Raja’ and Mohanlal's ‘Oru Naal Varum’.

‘Pokkiri Raja’ directed by Vyshakh, was originally planned to take off in theaters by the 30th of April, but the unexpected agitation of the producers association has put their plans at bay. Featuring Mammootty and Prithviraj in equally important roles, the movie is expected to become a chart topper with fast action, hit songs and full fledged masala ingredients.

Meanwhile, ‘Oru Naal Varum’ scripted by Sreenivasan is another satire on the Kerala society. Here Mohanlal plays an ordinary man who attempts to construct his dream house in the city premises, but is tore down by intense corruption in the society. Sreenivasan also appears on screen playing the role of a corrupted Assistant Town Planning Officer. It is after a few years that this most entertaining duo is appearing together on screen. Directed by T K Rajeevkumar, the movie is produced by Manianpillai Raju.

Adding to this will be Sathyan Anthikkad's fiftieth movie 'Katha Thudarum' which will also get into theaters of May 7th. The movie featuring Jayaram, Asif Ali and Mamtha Mohandas will cater to the family audience who converts Sathyan's every film into bigger hits.

The release of these movies is expected on May 7, as the agitation by producers is showing signs to end up. The state culture minister M A Baby himself has taken initiatives to call the aggrieved parties around a table to discus and end their problems. Moreover, it is not likely that the present core group at the helm of producers association, who are thick friend s of Mohan Lal and Manianpillai Raju, will act to delay a big movie from the Lal camp.
