'Aarakshan' literally meaning reservations, stars Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles and is directed by Prakash Jha. The film is based on one of the hottest topics in our country, reservations based on caste in Government jobs and educational institutions throughout the nation. The film also has Prateik Babbar in a pivotal role and is all set for a release early August.

As Big B went to Kolkata for the promotional activities of this film, he got nostalgic about the visit. He expressed to his tweet pals, "Just landed in Kolkata for promo of Aarakshan. So nostalgic! Spent seven years of early life in this great city. All the familiar haunts, the streets, the restaurants, the people, the air, environment. Had landed here in 1962 to look for a job!"

Senior Bachchan also expressed that it was in Kolkata where he experienced his first job, first salary and his first feeling of being independent. "Kolkata... Calcutta then... First job as executive in Bird & Co, salary Rs 500 per month, after cuts etc Rs 460!"

Looks like the 'Aarakshan' promos have truly made Big B pay a visit down his memory lane bringing back sweet memories...
