Big B's film readies for Toronto premier

Just after Planman Motion Picture's Dosar got selected for Cannes Film Festival comes the biggest news for Indian Cinema this year!

Planman's film The Last Lear , directed by Rituparno Ghosh, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Preity Zinta, Arjun Rampal and Shefali Shah, has been selected for a World Premiere at The Toronto

International Film Festival this year. The film has been selected for the Gala Premiere, the most prestigious section and centerpiece of the illustrious Festival.

This Arindam Chaudhuri presentation will be premiered on September 9 at the Roy Thomson Hall, the largest and most important cinema theatre in Toronto. Walking the Red Carpet would

be Amitabh Bachchan, Rituparno Ghosh, Prof. Arindam Chaudhuri, Shubho Shekhar Bhattacharjee (CEO of Planman Motion Pictures), Preity Zinta and Arjun Rampal amongst others.

A jubilant Prof. Chaudhuri says, "The Last Lear is indeed a very important and powerful film. The story, Rituparno Ghosh's direction and the performances are all world class. I am sure this

film will be appreciated as much by the world audience as by the Indians. We always wanted to be known as makers of good film and I can only say these are just our initial days!"
