Shahrukh Khan may not like it, but Amitabh Bachchan continues to be the face of Indian Cinema the world over. Big B added another feather in his illustrious cap when the De-Montfort University in the East-African Indian dominant English Midland city of Leicester conferred an honourary doctorate of the arts on the ageing superstar. He also earned a rare honour of being mentioned in a special motion (The Early Day Motion or EDM) in the British Parliament.

Big B was “delighted by this very real honour.” The Bachchan family including wife Jaya and daughter Shweta are with him for the entire weekend in the UK. Winner of 10 Filmfare Awards and blessed with the tag of “Millenium’s Biggest Star” carried by BBC Online poll, Amitabh Bachchan is one of the biggest reasons that makes the expatriate Indian feel proud of themselves.

IndiaGlitz congratulates Mr Bachchan on making India Proud Again.
