It is going to be Amitabh Bachchan v/s Amitabh Bachchan this August as two of his films get set for a release within a fortnight.

First to come would be the biggest film of the year, 'Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna', that arrives on August 11. There are no questions about the box office outcome of this mega movie by Karan Johar that looks like a sure shot blockbuster. The same though cannot be said about 'Zamaanat' that releases a week after i.e. August 18. A long-in-the-making film by S. Ramanathan, it is finally gearing up to see the light of the day with film's publicity beginning again!

Last year too, a similar scenario was witnessed when Paheli and Sarkar were released on two consecutive Fridays. Before that in 2004, Big B had 'Dev', 'Lakshya' and 'Deewar-Let's Bring Our Heroes Home', which released on 11th, 18th and 25th June respectively. The closest call was witnessed in the same year when 'Aetbaar' and 'Khakee' released on the same day i.e. 23rd January!
