Big B to introduce 'Boss' Akshay Kumar!

After Vivek Oberoi its Khiladi superstar Akshay Kumar’s turn to get lucky... Only few days back we had informed that megastar Amitabh Bachchan will render his iconic voice to Vivek’s character in ‘Krrish 3’; now here we have the veteran star doing the same for Akki in his much talked film ‘Boss’.

Yeah, In ‘Boss’, Akshay’s character has a huge build-up before he makes an entry on screen. That build-up is done through a voiceover that introduces the character of Boss. And it is been by none other than Mr.Bachchan!

From the time the script was penned, the makers always believed that no one other than Mr. Bachchan could do justice to the introduction of such a strong and larger-than-life character. It was important also because the voiceover propels the film from the first reel and sets the tone for the entire movie.

According to our reports, only two days back, the film’s makers managed to get Big B to do the complete voiceover for the film and to also introduce the character of Boss in the movie.

When the script was sent to Bachchan, he loved the idea and immediately agreed to be a part of the movie. Now, the makers are more than pleased because they couldn’t have asked for anything better.

For Producer Ashwin Varde, who had approached Big B with the script, it was like dream come true - to have a legend like him giving an introduction to the film.

It is said that Bachchan was given a script of the scenes well in advance. And despite his busy schedule, he made it a point to complete the dubbing at the earliest. He came sharp at 8.30am to BR Dubbing Theater in Juhu, Mumbai, and finished the job in 30 minutes flat. He also improvised on the lines, much to the delight of the film’s makers.

On the other hand, Akshay was most happy when he learnt that Bachchan had become a part of his new film. It’s no secret that Akshay has been a huge Bachchan fan over the years. In fact, he was the first actor to say that when it comes to the No. 1 title, it’s only been Amitabh Bachchan who’s been the crown king for so many years.

Remarked Akshay, It’s an honour and a privilege to have a legend like Amitabh Bachchan introduce my character in Boss. I’ve been his biggest fan since childhood and have even had the pleasure of working with him. He is an institution by himself.

The AB-AK magic is all set to hit the screens on 16th October this year, when ‘Boss’ hits the screens.

‘Boss’ is produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, Cape Of Good Films and Ashwin Varde Productions and is directed by Anthony D'souza.
