Big B to come back home soon

Thanks to all the prayers, wishes and duas... The iconic Amitabh Bachchan's abdominal surgery went off well and the legend will be back home soon.

Son Abhishek Bachchan just now said, “Thank you all for your wishes and prayers. The surgery went off well and dad is now in the room resting.

Big B was operated for abdominal complain today in the morning; the operation lasted for around 3 hours. Mr. Bachchan was admitted to Seven Hills hospital on Thursday night.

Big B, who has a history of stomach ailments, had written on his blog, “A surgery that I shall be undergoing on the 11th morning and the surgery they say is not too complicated.”

He had suffered a near fatal intestinal injury while filming a fight scene in 1982 movie ‘Coolie’ following which he remained in hospital for many months with fans praying for his well being.

“My stomach which has already been the bed of many complicated battles in the past, shall have to entertain this as well,” Bachchan said.

The veteran also thanked his well wishers and fans ahead of the surgery on his blog early this morning.

“I wish to thank all those that have most graciously sent in their concern and greetings for a speedy recovery. Your prayers shall go a long way in bringing me back to normal and for this I am always eternally grateful,” he wrote.
