Malayalee Cinematographer Amal Neerad debuted into filmdom by doing the camera of Renjith's Black. After this hit, the cameraman was busy with a number of Ram Gopal Verma productions which has given him a firm grip over Hollywood.

But when he thought to debut as a director, he very well opted for Malayalam, and that too with the biggest star of Malluwood, Mammootty.

The film which promises to be different tells a different story in an altogether varied backdrop.

The film's story revolves around Bilal --Bilal John Kurishingal. He is one of the adopted sons of Mary John Kurisingal -- a teacher and a social worker. She has adopted four children and treated them equally even though they come from four different religious backgrounds. 

Bilal, the eldest of the group grows up to be a person with stern determination and becomes the noted ones in the city who fears nobody and nothing.

And due to some trivial circumstances, Bilal was forced to leave his home town of Kochi to Mumbai, where he becomes the trusted body guard of underworld dons. After serving there for seventeen years and becoming one of the best of his time, he decides to make a come back to Kochi as he has to deal with some of the biggest loses of his life in his home town. The reunion of the four brothers and the following happenings form the crux of the story.

The film has story by the director Amal Neerad himself, and debutant R Unni writes the screenplay. Samir Thahir, the chief assistant to Amal debutes as cinematographer through this film.

Mammootty playing the lead role of Bilal. Mammootty appear in an altogether different getup with steel chains clad, and different hairstyles.

One time Miss India and noted Hindi actress and social worker Nafeeza Ali plays the role of teacher Mary John Kurisingal. Tamil actor Pasupathy also makes his debut into Malayalam in this flick playing Balaji, an I.P.S. officer.

Manoj K Jayan, Bala and Summit Naval appear as the brother of Bilal.Others in the cast includes Innocent, Vijayaraghavan, Manianpilla Raju, Mamta, Sreejith Ravi, Anoop, Vinayakan, Manasa, and Leena.

The film has four songs  written by Joshy Tharakan and Santhosh Varma and set to music  by Alphonse of  which a dance sequence in picturised with  nearly thirty French and Russian artists  - a first in Malayalam cinema.

Produced in the banner of Marikkar Films by Shahul Hameed and Anto Joseph, Big B will hit the screens on April 14th for Vishu.
