If things go well then one can see megastar Amitabh Bachchan playing the lead in a film that will be adaptation of short story written by the legendary late Satyajit Ray.

According to sources, actor-filmmaker Ananth Mahadevan is going to make a film out of Ray’s short story ‘Golpo Boliye Tarini Khuro’ which interestingly was never published.

After a Bengali writer friend suggested him the idea, Mahadevan felt quite excited about it and got in touch with Ray’s son Sandip. And thus bagging the story, Mahadevan is now looking forward to start working on the project which has been titled as ‘The Storyteller’.

Sources further added that after this, Mahadevan approached Big B with the lead role offer and then Farooq Sheikh for the role of an entrepreneur who loves to hear stories.

So if things go as planned then, Big B and Farooq will share the screen space for second time after ‘Toofan’ (1989), their last film together.
