Bichagadu 2 Review
Bichagadu was a great success at the box office. So, Vijay Anthoney has turned director for Bichadadu 2 which has been released today. Read our review here.
Story
Vijay Gurumurhty(Vijay Anthony) is the seventh richest man in the country. One of his friends Aravind(Dev Gill) gets him killed and replaces his brain with the one of Satya(Vijay Anothy in a double role) who is a beggar. Things take a sharp turn once this happens and there is a connection between the two lookalikes. The rest of the story is about how Satya takes it upon himself and teaches the villains a lesson.
Analysis
Vijay Anthony has turned director with this film and one can say that he has done just a passable job. His direction in the first half an hour of the film was just amazing. The brain transplantation scenes and the changing of characters have been showcased in a solid manner. But once this first half an hour passes by, things get bogged down big time.
The interval bang is okay but that is not sufficient for the audience to get out on a happy note at break point. The second half starts on a decent note but things fall flat once again and from there, it is a downhill for the audience. The screenplay of Vijay Anthony is a mess and it does not create an engaging affair for the audience. Vijay has taken too many activities into his hands and that is the reason, he could not do justice to all of them at once.
Vijay's music is one of the most disappointing factors of the film. The BGM is decent and the VFX was also amazing, to say the least. In a way, Bichagadu has all the technical aspects done in a decent manner but the execution of the story is amateurish. The dubbing is done perfectly and the production design was also on point.
With Bichagadu 2, Vijay Anthony does a passable job but does not live up to the hype created. He dominates the show with his performance from start to end and Kavya Thapar gets less screen space. The rest of the cast was just ordinary as there was nothing great to showcase.
Verdict
On the whole, Bichagadu 2 does not live up to the hype created. Vijay Anthony has too many things to handle and did just a passable job. The film has a great start and some good thrills but the rest of the execution is ordinary making this film a strictly okay watch at the box office.
