After the humongous hit called 'Bicchagadu', Vijay Antony needs no introduction for Telugu audiences. The happening music director-turned-actor has a film with an interesting backdrop releasing this Diwali. It's Saithan`. Titled as 'Betaludu' in Telugu, the film belongs to the genre of psychological suspense thriller. Vijay Antony plays a software techie.

The film is in news in the wake of objections raised by certain Hindu voices over a montage song heard in the promos. There were also criticisms from some quarters that the background music of the teaser of Saithaan` contains sacred Sanskrit slogans which hurt the sentiments of Hindus. Vijay Antony has taken steps to change the lyrics written by the late Annamalai and re-release it with new words.

Directed by Pradeep Kumar, it has music by Vijay Antony himself. Cinematography is by Pradeep Kalipurayath. The film is based on the novel 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo'.
