The world is slowly returning back to normal and so is the movie business. Makers are in a hurry to release their long awaited films and since dozens of films are looking for appropriate release slots, there are bound to be some clashes. Akshay Kumar's cop drama 'Sooryavanshi' is finally going to release on 5th of November and it's going to clash with Marvel's latests project, 'Eternals'.
Since both the films are from huge production houses and are awaiting release from a really long time, the clash is inevitable now. In a recent conversation with India Today, filmmaker Bhushan Kumar talked about film clashes and this instance in particular.
Bhushan said, "I am not a fan of films clashing at the box office. It affects both the films, especially when the film is a big-ticket release. For example, I think Sooryavanshi should have got a solo release. It is a very big film that shouldn’t have had to compete with another title. But I understand the other film is a big Hollywood studio and they must have had their own plans for the worldwide release. So, the clash is inevitable.”
When asked whether future clashes can be avoided, Bhushan said, "No, I don’t see this happening. Unfortunately, we only have so many dates and everyone wants the festival release dates so clashes will happen."
