Bhumika's journey from Akshay to Akshaye

One and a half years after she was last seen on the silver screen for a Bollywood flick, Bhumika Chawla would be making an appearance again. This would be for GANDHI MY FATHER which arrives this August.
Her last release was Rajkumar Santoshi's FAMILY - TIES OF BLOOD where she played Akshay Kumar's wife. The film released in January 2006 while her song 'Qatra Qatra' proved to be chartbuster.
On the other hand GANDHI MY FATHER is a different kind of project altogether for Bhumika where she pairs up with Akshaye Khanna who plays the character of Mahatma Gandhi's son Harilal. As Gulab Gandhi, wife of Harilal, she is expected to demonstrate her immense talent once again that has been witnessed earlier in films like TERE NAAM, RUN and SILSIILAY.
Later this year she would also be seen in Anees Bazmee's long-in-the-making NAAM [earlier titled BENAAM] where she is paired opposite Ajay Devgan.
