Director Anees Bazmee's 'Bhool Bhulaiya 2' is just few weeks away from its release and fans are super excited to witness Kartik Aaryan's take on Akshay Kumar's 2007 classic 'Bhool Bhulaiya'. The original was a horror comedy for the most part but it turned into a psychological drama in the third act. However, Bazmee says that the sequel will be a full blown horror comedy.

In a recent conversation with PTI, Bazmee said, "I was clear I didn’t want to make a psychological thriller. If I had made it that way, there would have been direct comparisons. When you watch this film, it will remind you of part one, but it isn’t exactly similar."

He added, “If I offer you the same film, what is the point in making a sequel? My film is basically a horror comedy. You will keep getting glimpses of the world but still be watching a new film."

Starring Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani, Tabu, Rajpal Yadav and others, 'Bhool Bhulaiya 2' is set to release on 20th of May 2022.
