It's known that 11 persons have been killed in a fire accident at a scrap godown in Secunderabad's Bhoiguda earlier today. The news has been grabbing national headlines.
The news is that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of the deceased, while the Telangana CMO announced Rs 5 lakh each. "Pained by the loss of lives due to a tragic fire in Bhoiguda, Hyderabad. My thoughts are with the bereaved families in this hour of grief. An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh each from Prime Minister's National Relief Fund would be given to the next of kin of the deceased," PMO today siad.
All those who died in the accident were on the first floor of the godown. And they all belong to Bihar and Maharashtra. The Telangana government has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh to the families of the migrant workers.
As per reports, short-circuit is the suspected cause of the accident. The fire broke out at 4 am.
