“An ultimate battle of duty and power,” says the trailer for ‘Bheemla Nayak’, which was out a while ago. Pawan Kalyan’s commitment to duty (he is an upright cop in the movie) is contrasted with Rana Daggubati’s wielding of clout. As Rao Ramesh’s character says, Bheemla Nayak’s arrogance is attributable to his khaki uniform.
Murali Sharma has played the hero’s well-wishing colleague, while Nitya Menen (as his wife) supports her husband’s daredevilry (like in the Malayalam original). Samuthirakani has played Rana’s father, while Raghu Babu is seen as his driver.
The plot points related to the titular character have been retained from the original. Nayak becomes unhinged if he is not wearing the khaki uniform. And the one who has removed it should now bear the consequences. With music by Thaman, the film has dialogues and screenplay by Trivikram. There are some dialogues that the ‘Matala Mantrikudu’ has created originally, without drawing from the source material.
The fight between pride and self-esteem will be unleashed with full force on February 25. As the villain of the piece says, Nayak’s fans are eagerly waiting for it! Produced by Sithara Entertainments, the film is directed by Saagar K Chandra.
