'Bheemla Nayak': Low TRP comes as a shocker

'Bheemla Nayak', which hit the screens on February 25, is directed by Saagar K Chandra. The remake was recently premiered on television.
As per TRP rating reports, the Pawan Kalyan-Rana Daggubati movie logged a TRP of 9.1 in SD and 10 in HD+SD. These are dull figures by any measure.
Considering that the Trivikram-written actioner is a Power Star movie, the underwhelming TRP has come as a shocker. The TRP figure doesn't compare well with the other Pawan Kalyan remake, 'Vakeel Saab', in recent times. Star MAA aired the film amid high expectations.
Streaming currently on two OTT platforms (AHA and Disney+Hotstar), 'Bheemla Nayak' is a remake of the Malayalam film 'Ayyappanum Koshiyum'.
When it comes to TV ratings, a lot of factors determine the outcome. If there is competition from other TV channels in terms of highly popular programming on the same day, the ratings can be poor.
Produced by Sitara Entertainments, 'Bheemla Nayak' co-starred Nithya Menen, Samyuktha Menon, Samuthirakani and others. Its music is by SS Thaman. The film was released in theatres after the third wave subsided in the Telugu States.
