Veteran director Bharathiraja is eagerly awaiting the release of his ‘Bommalattam’. The movie produced and directed by Bharathiraja simultaneously in Tamil and Hindi is about the casting couch in the film industry.

Nana Patekar plays the role of a film director while Arjun and Kajal Agarwal are in the cast. Asked why a delay, Bharathiraja blames it on corporate companies.

He says 'Things have changed a lot in Tamil cinema. A few powerful corporate companies have signed agreements with theatres in the State and market movies of top stars only. They act in a dictatorial manner and they lack knowledge of Tamil cinema. Because of all these difficulties, I am forced to release the movie on my own'.

On his dream project Kutra Parambarai, Bharathiraja says, ' It is my desire and dream to Kutra Parambarai. It is set during the British era in India. A tale of father and son set in early 19th century. It needs a heavy budget and hopefully I would get it started soon'.
