Veteran director Bharathiraja has been showered with praises for his riveting performance as a innocent old man in the recent film 'Kurangu Bommai' directed by debutant Nithilan. The septuagenarian filmmaker-actor participated in the Thanks meet for the press, organised by the 'Kurangu Bommai' team and he addressed the gathering.
In his speech, Bharathiraja said that a few directors belonging to the current generation in Tamil cinema are capable of competing with international filmmakers. Prominent among them are directors Ram and Vetrimaran who make world class films. He also said 'Kurangu Bommai' director Nihilan is one among them.
More than the critical acclaim and the commercial success of 'Kurangu Bommai; this should be a bigger precious recognition for Nihilan.
