Veteran director Bharathiraja called on Chief Minister Karunanidhi at his residence in Chennai on Monday. According to the director, ‘It was just a customary call’.

Bharathiraja, who is awaiting the release of his movie Bommalattam starring Nana Patekar and Arjun in pivotal roles, is ready for release.

Veteran director Bharathiraja, who set a new trend in Tamil cinema, churning out blockbuster movies over the past three decades, said that he briefed Karunanidhi about his movie during the meeting.

Dwelling about the movie, Bharathiraja said, “The movie has a bold theme that would suit international audiences. I am confident that if the movie is made in English, it would work out there too. Bommalattam is a fast-paced thriller”.
