Bharathiraja honours young directors

Young filmmakers who made a mark in the year 2009 were honoured at the music launch of ‘Mundhinam Paartheney’, a film produced by Seventh Channel Communication, in Chennai on Monday.

Pandiraj (Pasanga), Panneerselvam (Renigunta), Rajesh (Siva Manasula Sakthi), Suseendran (Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu) and Arivazhagan (Eeram)- all freshers whose debut films created waves in the year that passed were presented mementoes by ace filmmaker Bharathiraja.

The first copy of 'Mundhinam Paartheney' audio CD was released by Tamil Nadu Director General of Police K P Jain, while the young directors received it.

Directors K Bhagiyaraj, Goutham Vasudev Menon and actress Kushboo spoke. Produced by Manickam Narayanan for Seventh Channel Communication, ‘Mundhinam Paartheney’ is directed by Magizh Thirumeni, a debutant. Music is by Thaman S.
