Bharathiraja hits out at FEFSI

Veteran director Bharathiraja, one of the respected personalities of Tamil cinema, has come down heavily on the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI), for posing a hurdle to movie shootings, in the name of demanding wage rise.
There is no head for FEFSI. So some persons who aspire to capture the president post are blowing the issue into a big problem. They are the reason behind all troubles and not the workers, the filmmaker said in his interview to a Tamil weekly.
He added: They are demanding same wages for films produced on a huge budget and movies made on minimum budget. Small producers will be affected a lot if their demand is accepted. So movies should be classified into three categories- A, B and C.
On his colleague Ameer's support to FEFSI in this issue, Bharathiraja said, Without holding talks with the Producers Council, FEFSI is acting in a unilateral manner. Without understanding this, Ameer is offering his support. He should think again.
