Bharathiraja has released a statement in which he has slammed Rajinikanth calling him the saffron ambassador of Karnataka for his tweet that landed himself, Seeman and others in jail.  During the IPL protest some of the protesters had attacked the police for which Rajini had posted "The worst form of violence in law and order situation is attack on uniformed personnel on duty.This form of violence has to be tackled immediately as it poses grave danger to our country.We need more stringent laws to punish the perpetrators of attack on police personnel on duty."

Bharathiraja has questioned why Rajini kept mum during the Sri Lankan Tamil massacre, the methane, nuetrino protests or when Tamilians and their properties were burnt by the Kannadigals during the Cauvery protests.  He has accused Rajini of using gimmicks of entering politics whenever his films release and is enjoying the crores of rupees the Tamil people gave him and is betraying them.

Bharathiraja has warned Rajini that he should stop his divisive politics among Tamils and in the future to speak carefully, otherwise the Tamil people will teach him a lesson and they will do that pretty soon.
