The soon-to-be released crime thriller by Bhumi Pednekar, "Bhakshak," has a trailer out now that is promising an intense, gripping narrative. Shared by Shah Rukh Khan, the two-minute-38-second clip introduces Bhumi's character, Vaishali Singh, who is an investigative journalist who has made it her mission to unearth the truth of how young girls are raped at a local shelter in UP's Munawwarpur.
Vaishali's struggle to get justice keeps her against her own family, and she finds it very hard to explore the girl's exploitation at the shelter. Aditya Srivastava, popularly known for his role in C.I.D., has been shown as an excellent corrupt owner of the shelter, which gives the film several twists and turns.
Supported by Mr. Bhaskar, Vaishali faces opposition from her co-workers, who warn her against fighting the case as influential people may cause harm to her. Her dedication at work starts impacting her personal life when she starts having fights with her husband, Arvind, played by Surya Sharma.

Bhumi Pednekar, who is seen sharing the trailer in her Instagram story as the movie releases on Netflix on February 9, The crime thriller, inspired by true events, explores the complexities of justice and morality. "Bhakshak," helmed by Pulkit, is Red Chillies Entertainment's first digital production since their 2022 film "Darlings." With Sanjay Mishra and Sai Tamhankar joining the cast besides Pulkit in leading roles, this is an interesting one.
