Riding on the popularity of Anushka Shetty, 'Bhaagamthie' has been released prestigiously in Telugu, Tamil, Karnataka (Telugu) and Malayalam. In Kerala, it has got 100 screens for it, which is big.

As per the makers, the film has got stellar openings across the languages. "Our film reported houseful collections for the morning, matinee and first show shows in most of the centers due to positive pre-release," the makers say.

"Bhaagamathie received positive to extremely positive response from critics as well as the audience. Hence, the movie is expected to rake record numbers in first weekend," they further say.

Talking about the occupancy rates in Kerala, the makers say, "Over 60% occupancy has been reported from the state. This is despite the stiff competition offered by a star son's film. The UV Creations production has done remarkably well in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka on day one."
