Whether or not you believe in astrology, Jagapathi Babu does it. Opening up his heart recently on a chat show, the brand new baddie of Tollywood (err.. of South cinema), deciphering his palm, said that 'acche din' are ahead for him. That was after signing up 'Srimanthudu'. 'Nannaku Prematho' followed. 'Ism' followed. In Tamil, Vijay's 'Bairavaa' and Visha's 'Kaththi Sandai' followed. In Malayalam, 'Pulimurugan' followed. In Kannada (and Telugu), 'Jaguar' followed.
Latest, he has been signed up as a male lead by none other than Karnataka's "best-ever Chief Minister", to quote Jagapathi himself. It's HD Kumaraswamy. The film will go to floors sometime in December.
Speaking at the audio launch of 'Jaguar', Jagapathi said that the biggest gift that the film gave him was Kumaraswamy's friendship. He went on to say that he was the best CM that Karnataka ever had and that he wished Kumaraswamy will become the CM once again. With the actor and the politician bonding well, Jagapathi is assured of a certain importance in Sandalwood.
