Off late the pick of old Kannada titles has become a fashion and no doubt that they are sounding good instead of English titles to Kannada films.

Here is Benkiya Bale` a super hit film of 1983 starring Ananthnag, Lakshmi KS Ashwath, Toogudeepa Srinivas in Dorai Bhagwan direction, the music of this film by Rajan Nagendra is in memory after 34 years of release of the film. This film was based on Ta Ra Su novel.

The same title is repeated now for Shivaji Pictures produced by Shivaji. At Mysuru Bandanthamma Temple the muhurut for the film was held. The prayer of heroine for the good of her life was the maiden shot approved when JDS politician Harish Gowdru sounded clap board and another BJP leader Maruthi Rao switched on the camera. Abdul Khadar Shahid, KC Shivanand Koodlapura, Ramani, JP Prakash, Zoom Ravi, Bidadi Nagesh, JBS Sidde Gowdru director of Tharle Village` were present at the muhurut of the film.

Producer Shivaji has penned story, screenplay, dialogues besides direction of the film. Purandar music and Ramu is cameraman.

Shivaji also appears in the lead role with Preethi, Shwetha, Ankitha, Niranjan, Gautham, Lokesh Rao, Vasudeva Murthy, Agni Ravi, Nagarathna and others.
