A video of a teenage boy physically assaulting his mother with a broomstick has gone viral on social media. The video was shot by the boy’s elder sister.

The accused, a 17-year-old, is a student of a private college, who has been smoking and abusing alcohol for a long time now. His concerned mother would be thrashed by him every time she brought up the subject with him.

The woman started confiding in her neighbours regarding her miseries, which did not go well with her son. In the video, the teenager can be seen threatening his mother, following which he beats her with a broomstick. He apparently warned his elder sister as well and told her he was not afraid of the police when he saw her recording the video of the incident.

When the video went viral on social media, the police decided to intervene and demanded the boy apologize to his mother. After he did so, he was left with a warning to not repeat such behaviour in the future.
