Similar to fellow actress Hema, Syamala's alleged presence at the event alongside other celebrities was widely circulated by various YouTube channels. However, Syamala has vehemently denied any involvement with the rave party and has announced her plans to take legal action against the media outlets and YouTube channels responsible for tarnishing her reputation. She made it clear that during the period when the event took place in Bangalore, she hadn't even left her residence.

In addressing the situation, Syamala expressed her belief that certain political entities orchestrated a deliberate smear campaign against her, emphasizing her absence from Bengaluru during the alleged rave party. In addition to investigating the seizure of drugs during the rave party incident, the Karnataka Police are also exploring the potential presence of a sex racket associated with the drug trade. Five individuals have already been apprehended in connection with the case, resulting in the transfer of the investigation from the Electronics City Police Station to the Narcotics Wing of the City Central Crime Branch (CCB).

Emerging details from the ongoing investigation shed light on the scale of the rave party, which reportedly saw over 200 attendees. Revelers allegedly paid Rs 2 lakh for entry, disguising the event as a birthday celebration. Suspicions have arisen regarding the involvement of the organizers in a sex racket, with evidence suggesting meticulous planning to cater to the requests of participants.

Amidst these developments, State Home Minister Dr. G Parameshwara reiterated the government's commitment to eradicating drugs from Karnataka. He condemned rave parties and issued a warning to students engaged in drug-related activities, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a drug-free society.
