A court in Hyderabad has ordered that Bellamkonda Suresh can be arrested by the police. The producer has been in the dock over a case filed by a TV channel years ago.

The case pertains to Samantha-Siddharth's 'Jabardasth' (2013), which was an unofficial remake of the Hindi movie 'Band Baaja Baarat'. When Yash Raj Films dragged the producer to the court, it was found that the Telugu film had one too many similarities with the Bollywood one. As such, its playing was stopped in the theatres.

However, before this legal battle happened, Bellamkonda had successfully sold the satellite rights of 'Jabardasth' for a good Rs 3.5 Cr. Now that the TV channel can't air the movie following the plagiarism case, it demanded that the producer return the satellite rights' amount. Bellamkonda reportedly refused to do so. Together with interest, the dues are now to the tune of Rs 11.75 Cr.

It's regarding this that the arrest warrant has been issued. Suresh can be arrested any time by the police.
